Laureles, Street Portraits

Street portraits from three streets in Laureles, shot on 35mm over most of a year. Every portrait was taken on a walk, and most were agreed to in under a minute.

The project is less about the streets than about the small decisions people make in front of a camera. Some stopped and laughed. Some asked for prints. One woman sat still for exactly one frame.

The series was shown at Casa de la Imagen in 2024, with prints lent back to shopkeepers who had asked to keep them in their windows.
