Minus Thirty

A winter of photographs from the Torne valley and the hills toward the Norwegian border, taken at temperatures where batteries give up and fingers stop working in under a minute.

The project is about the cold as much as the sky. I wanted each frame to show how small we are when the aurora is on, and how much kit it takes to stand still in the dark long enough to get it.

Prints from the project are sold in limited runs. The test prints and kit list are included because they are as much a part of the work as the sky.
