Packaging and identity for small makers in Singapore: a chilli oil, a roastery, a tea shop, a bakery and a paper-goods maker. The brief was the same for all five. Make it look like it belongs on a shelf next to the big brands, for two dollars a unit.
Each brand gets its own colour and its own rule, but they share one grid, one type system and one way of handling stripes and labels. A shelf of different products reads as one family, which is what we wanted at the supermarket.
The most useful part of the project was the testing. Every label was printed wet, cold and under a bad fluorescent light before it was approved.
